Experience peace of mind by always having your most recent membership card in the palm of your hand. The NHA is now transitioning to digital membership cards to be able to better serve our environment and our mission.
With this environmentally friendly initiative, your updated cards will always be available on your smartphone. You will no longer need to worry about losing or misplacing it. In addition, digital cards allow us to update your benefits and expiration dates so you will always have a complete list of available membership perks. This allows the NHA to better serve our member community by redirecting staff hours where we need it the most – – creating more member perks and programming for you!

You can easily get your digital card a couple of ways. Here are the options below:

2. Download the free EMembership App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store using the links below. You will get more from your card if you download the eMembershipCard app. The app will allow you to see your membership benefits, a museum floor plan, links to other reciprocal museums you can visit, and any special offers available to you as a member.
Select the “Nantucket Historical Association” tile and touch “Find my Membership Cards.”
Enter your phone number and your last name. Please note that only the phone number that is the primary phone number on your membership card will work.

How do I download my new e-membership card?
There are 3 ways to access your new e-membership card. You can either:
What do I need to download my e-membership card?
You will need to enter your membership ID #/phone number to access your e-membership card and last name associated with your membership. Your membership ID # was sent in the initial email with the download directions.
What about my CAMM reciprocal membership and Time Travelers benefits?
You will still be able to access these benefits with your digital membership card.
Will my guest passes be digital too?
Yes, your guest passes will be accessible through the free Museum Anywhere app. You can send a digital guest pass to your guests/friends through an email for them to use right away. You can also tell your guests/friends to use your first and last name at the front desk and the staff can look up your membership and how many guest passes you have access to that way.
What if I run out of guest passes and want access to more?
You can reach out to the NHA staff, and we are able to immediately upload guest passes to your digital membership account on the Museum Anywhere app.
Will my physical membership card still work?
Yes. Physical membership cards will still work. When you next renew your membership though, you will not receive a physical member card and will be prompted to download an e-membership card.
Will I still receive an acknowledgement letter in the mail for my membership?
No, you will not receive an acknowledgement letter in the mail. The email you receive when joining or renewing your membership that links to your digital membership card will be your tax receipt letter. Please save it for your files.
What about my tax receipt letter?
The email you received when joining or renewing your membership will be used as your tax receipt letter.
What if I do not have an email?
You do not need an email to access your digital membership card. You just need your membership ID #/ phone number, and you can access your digital membership card through the website link or QR code.
How do I access my Museum Shop discount code?
Your Museum Shop discount code can be accessed through your digital membership card in your phone wallet or through the Museum Anywhere app. Just show your digital card at check out or find the code on the card for your online shopping needs.
What if I do not want a digital membership card?
That is fine. You just need to give your first and last name to the Front Desk attendees at the Whaling Museum or Hadwen House. They can look up your membership in the computer system and your current member benefits.
You can also reach out to us and we can still send you a hard copy membership card.
What if there are multiple people on my membership? For example, an Island Family membership or above.
Each person listed on the membership can download a digital membership card. When you join or renew, please give us the names of who is included in your membership. If they type in the phone number that is linked to the membership in our database, they can download a card.
How do you make sure my digital membership card isn’t being wrongly used by someone else?
Through the database, we will be able to track who has downloaded your membership card and how many times it has been downloaded. If someone has downloaded a digital membership card to your membership that you would not like on the membership, we can terminate the bad digital membership card immediately.
What if I forget to download my e-membership card before coming to the Museum/Can’t find the email that was sent?
There will be a QR code at the entry of the Whaling Museum for you to quickly look up and access your digital e-membership card. You will just need to enter your phone number that is linked to your membership. You can also always just give your first and last name at the Whaling Museum front desk and you will be granted entry if your membership is current.
